Just shows you the reality of AI, it just means a popular sire can become even more popular. The theory of using AI is good, but the reality is not.
I bet if he knew how they collect that semen, he may of not been so keen to shake the chap's hand.
Holy crap that first English bulldog they brought out (the blue one) is FAT! The handler even said about the white with fawn one "overdone", way overdone. Also, to me it seemed a bit fat.The Frenchie could use more muzzle but unlike the english bulldogs at least he looked like he could move a bit without gasping for air 3 steps in. Still, mostly a train wreck.
How is this gene pool worth anything to anyone? It's a mess. And these people apparently sleep just fine at night pimping out their "amazing" dogs. They're even happy to keep one obese because "that's what people like to see". Yeah? I'll bet your vet doesn't like to see it, but what does that matter, right?
People is stoopid...

The comments on the source video are all about the breeding issues of these dogs, seems the message is getting through.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDxQ6qSRKgUBlocked linked to utube from here as well, but the above link works. Ha ha I was envisaging JH doing the interview, it could've gone very very differently."Potato owner" gets applause for his incest comments. That dog aggressive 100 000US$ Frenchie "Micro" is completely stuffed up, his back is way too short, no tail and stenotic nares. I don't think a dog like this would win in Europe, honestly I don't. Small mercies but crab dogs with no back and with huge heads and no tails aren't quite as esteemed as they are in the states.Horrifying that this kind of trash educates people! Mini bulldogs or bulldog pug crosses are just as bad and some even worse than the pure thing. People still finding novel ways to make dogs extremely unhealthy.Relieved to see "pedigree dogs exposed" pops up now on searches, high up and often.
River, that dude is not a show breeder. He's a bun nothing more.
I think his mother is, she is also the owner of "Micro" the French bulldog. Whats a bun? If its half a buttock or an arse thats exactly what he is.American showing people like the Frenchie as small as possible with huge heads, the backs are way to short with missing tails, dilute colour, liver nose. Its all mostly degrees of welfare issue I know but the Europeans don't like that at all.
River P oops it was meant to be BYB not bun dang auto-correct lol. Blue isn't allowed in the US show ring,it is a DQ according to the AKC & UKC standards. If they do show it has to be with ADBA or ABKC which are primarily APBT, Am. Bully & other Bully breed (Staffy,Am.Staff,Bulldog,Am. Bulldog,Frenchie,Bostons) registries.
Thats true Trish, but it's bred more or less along show lines as far as I can see, the same exaggerations. Blue is touted as a rare colour and is sold for more. It's what American AKC show breeders might call a good dog except for the colour. Im not sure they can be labelled BYB, just bad or Bun breeders. (: They specialise in mini english bulldogs....the same unhealthy deformities in miniture as "normal" bulldogs. Even worse by the look of things.Dilute colours frowned on in Europe are American cream with liver nose, tailess dogs, and dogs with huge heads and extreme short backs. Yes blue is not accepted at all last I looked. I've seen some very sad looking bullies crossed with FBDs, think they're called micro bullies or something. They have the same exaggerations as the show FBD but also with horribly bent legs. Some bullies I like but they're moving towards a show type which is not looking good. The shape of a cow with stunted leggs and a flat face, tail must hang dead. This is their ideal. They want unifomity in three sizes. Their approach to breeding and showing looks to me like making the same mistakes that has ruined most pedigree dogs. Quite sad given the golden oppertunity not to repeat past mistakes, however they don't seem at all cognisant of those mistakes at all, just itching to have an unsustainable perfectly uniform show dog instead, like every other show breeder.
This kind of thing just makes me nuts. I'm not a huge AKC conformation fan, for all the reasons that Jemima isn't. However, I have finished AKC champions (each of them also has up to 34 additional sports titles) and I buy dogs from AKC champion breeders (whose dogs also have a bunch of sports titles). My current dog, a Papillon with a STELLAR temperament with all creatures, 24 titles in 4 sports, a sib to AKC Grand Champions, and was the 5th fastest Papillon in the AKC last year... cost 1% of the Frenchie's alleged value. With Papillons having tiny litters, my dog's breeder, who has been in the breed for 40 years and breeding for 20, loses significant money with each litter after health testing and pre/post-natal care. And she has proof that her dog are healthy, "correct" for the breed, athletic, long-lived, and capable of excelling at the top levels of international sports, including one that is the current world agility champion in the small dog division. Yet this guy--solely because he's on TV--doesn't need any proof, and nobody asks for any. He gets to say his dogs are worth $100k and pups are worth $5-10k. Nobody asks him to show proof of champion titles or (more importantly) sports awards, proof of good temperament, etc. Not even a Canine Good Citizen certificate, which his Frenchie would never pass. But because the owner is on TV, that's the only thing that matters to 99.9% of the dog buying public. Ugh!
If you go to a French bulldog speciality show you will be amazed at how dog aggressive they generaly can be.
I'm just shaking my head - I can't believe what I just saw. Absolutely horrible! I can't decide what is worse; the overall state of the dogs or the lack of understanding by the sellers & purchasers as to the effect of those likely health problems on the poor puppies! Ànd the PRICES!!!! We're all in the wrong industry by the looks of it. (J/ķ)
The reason this video is so awful is it shows three people treating dogs like objects instead of living beings. They think of their dogs as funny little curiosities, and not as the domesticated wolves they are. Until people stop thinking of their pets as just "art," this garbage is going to continue.
Body dismorphia by proxy. Disgusting.
